Amp'd Mobile is a mobile phone service launched in the United States in late
2005. The company is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator and operates on the
Verizon Wireless CDMA EV-DO network.
Amp'd Mobile will be the first fully integrated mobile virtual network operator
(MVNO) for youth, young professionals and early adopters. By leveraging the
superior 3G network of Verizon Wireless, Amp'd offers traditional services plus
a completely fresh user interface and experience designed specifically for this
market.
Amp'd Mobile will open its doors, or at least its online portal, for the first
time today, offering its highly predictable mobile service and soaped-up 3G
phones on a limited basis from its Web site with plans for a more extensive
commercial launch at the end of the year.
